Omid Asadi was born in Iran in 1979.Before pursuing art full-time, he was an engineer and achampion boxer in Iran. In 2007 he immigrated to the United Kingdom and in 2018, he gained an MA in Fine Art with Distinction from theManchester School of Art.Contrast is the main focus in his work. It can be identified between the mediums,materials, colours, textures, cultures, meanings and nature that Asadi works with.Through contrast, hepractises different disciplines to investigate issues regarding the current humancondition, immigration, identity, environment and childhood memories working with performance mixed media sculpture and video.
